- The difference between the state with the most billionaires, California, and the states with the least (that do have billionaires): Hawaii, Hungary, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia is 144.
- California has 145 times the billionaires that Hawaii, Hungary, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia each do.
- The median number of billionaires in the 28 EU states is 5.00 and the mean 14.00.
- The median number of billionaires in the 50 EU states is 4.50 and the mean 11.74.
- The median number of billionaires in the 78 EU and US states is 4.50 and the mean 12.55.
- California and Germany have just over one-quarter of all the billionaires in the EU and US.
- California, Germany, New York, the United Kingdom, Texas, and Florida account for half the billionaires in the EU and US.
- Alabama, Alaska, Bulgaria, Croatia, Delaware, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Louisiana, Luxembourg, Malta, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Dakota, Slovenia, and Vermont do not have a single billionaire.

Three-quarters of the billionaires in the EU and the US reside in 14 of the 78 states: California, Germany, New York, the United Kingdom, Texas, Florida, Italy, France, Sweden, Spain, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington.
Both the EU and the US have eight states each without a single billionaire.
